For the People Foundation would like to recognize a fallen solider from the CO area; Sgt Ryan Baum of Aurora, CO was KIA on May 18th, 2007, at the age of 27. Ryan was on tour with the Army in Iraq, part of the 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Richardson, Alaska. Ryan was a medic for his company, and was killed while assisting another soldier. Ryan was on his way home for leave to see the birth of his first born daughter, Leia Ryan Baum. He leaves behind his wife, daughter, parents, and a brother and sister.

SSgt Justin Bauer
For the People Foundation would like to recognize a fallen solider from the CO area; SSgt Justin Bauer of Berthoud, CO was KIA on Jan 11th, 2009, at the age of 24. Justin was serving on his second tour in Iraq with the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, N.C. He leaves behind his wife, parents, grandparents, and two younger brothers and a younger sister.

There are many other soldier whose lives have been lost, though we have not recognized the soldiers individually, we would like to thank those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms, and wish their loved ones the best during these hard times. The soldiers listed on our site were friends of Grant and Andrea.
